Plastic (Live)
04:26
|
|||
They swaddled you in plastic
Grew a body in a bag
All that held us in existence
Was the little while we had
In the summer I'll grow taller
And you can hold me like a son
Link me up to all those wise
We'll all blend into one
In a minute I'll find courage
And I'll start to head downstairs
In a way you changed your answer
But we all acted like we didn't care

Better Now (Live)
03:40
|
|||
Someday when we've changed
We'll look back on this
You'll turn and you'll say how strange
We acted this way
And I'll reply
We thought we were wise
But we know better now
I think I'm better now
I think I'm better now
We scrawled it in stone
Our names, they shone for us to see
As you step outside I know
You won't come back again
And I try
To compramise
But we know better now
I think I'm better now
I think I'm better now

Slow it down, you're suffocating
And I don't like to see you in pain
Open eyes as you once did
I know you can see again
Cry if you need to
There is raw relief
Open your door
The dark won't hold you anymore
Fall backwards
Get up again you have the strength
Open your door
The dark won't hold you anymore

Home (Live)
04:32
|
|||
Slowly we go
Down into the earth
I hold you close
For long we must wait
And hard is the road
Cold in the night
Wake one more time
Savour your breath
For long we must wait
And hard is the road
We go home, walk alone
Reach your hand into mine
Welcome me in your arms
For long we must wait
And hard is the road

These Days (Live)
02:18
|
|||
Consequently I regret every word I said
I take it back, I worry on in my flaws
Simmer down is what I need before I speak
Before I spill, my mouth opens wide
And wise words are scarcer these days
Fill me up with your trust
Water down these pressing thoughts
Fill me up
Lock me up and throw me down
I dream I reach you with open arms
Soaking mind, open eyes I know that this
Could never really be so gently wilt away
I hold you in my arms open wide
And wise words are scarcer these days
Fill me up with your trust
Water down these pressing thoughts
Fill me up
Lock me up and throw me down

A Step
03:59
|
|||
Hide your symptoms
Disguise the output
From me
Pretend to breath
You know I'm not stupid
You do know I have eyes
But I don't blame you
It's much harder in this weather
Not to second guess yourself
But you do it anyway
Take a step
And it's a slow road to walk on
But it's one worth traversing
The goal is somewhere within reach
Take your time
You know it's no rush
These habits die hard
But there's change to come
Yes there's change to come
There's a brighter sun
To shine
And it's a slow road to walk on
But it's one worth traversing
The goal is somewhere within reach
