1.
Slow it down, you’re suffocating And I don’t like to see you in pain Open eyes as you once did I know you can see again Cry if you need to There is raw relief Open your door Dark won’t hold you anymore Fall backwards Get up again you have the strength Open your door Dark won’t hold you anymore
2.
Shame 04:00
Only summer ends so soon Only winter takes so long And I know you’ll be there I don’t know if I’m gone I don’t know why I’m scared I think I might be wrong I don’t know why I’m scared Waste away my time Chase away my years Solder on my limbs Melt away my fears I don’t know why I speak When I know I’m wrong I don’t know why I speak And all I feel is shame All I feel is shame
3.
On Me 03:21
Is this the end Or do we go round again I hope you understand All my reasoning I tried to count to ten Catch my breath and start again It didn’t work it seems I’m not too good at peacefully And I know that this is on me And I know that this is on me I tried to count to ten Catch my breath and start again It didn’t work it seems I’m not too good at peacefully And I know that this is on me And I know that this is on me
4.
These Days 02:16
Consequently, I regret Every word I said I take it back I worry on in my flaws And simmer down is what I need Before I speak Before I spill My mouth overflows And wise words are scarcer these days Fill me up with your trust Water down these pressing thoughts Block me out Lock me up and throw me down I dream I reach you with open arms Soaking mind Open eyes I Know that this Can never really be So gently wilt away I hold you In my arms fragilely And wise words are scarcer these days Fill me up with your trust Water down these pressing thoughts Block me out Lock me up and throw me down

Home 04:26
Slowly we go Down into the earth I hold you close For long we must wait And hard is the road Cold in the night Wake one more time Savour your breath For long we must wait And hard is the road We go home, walk alone Reach your hand into mine Welcome me in your arms For long we must wait And hard is the road
7.
Gethsemane 02:28
Sweetly carry me home When the morning comes Lift me in your arms Walk with me in the garden Won’t you stay awake Just another hour till I’m taken away Taken to my father’s Brother you know what I face
8.
Climb over the back gate, disappear I’m not coming back but still I’m here Winter comes so quickly to our bones Hold me close before I’m gone Water come cleanse me Wash away my wrongs Water please Save me Before I’m gone
9.
The Rain 04:30
I could have sworn I said no Then the rain came bursting forth You’re stormy inside Grey skies There’s no place to hide From the rain I could have sworn I said no Then the rain came bursting forth Call out my name Once more A crack in the pane In the floor

about

This album was written, recorded and mixed between June and October 2016. Thematically and musically, this is a development on my first album. While this isn't a concept album as such, it was created in a way to be viewed as one comprehensive work. I had a lot of fun making this record and am proud of how it turned out. Hope you enjoy listening! :D
